Every child has gifts just waiting to be opened

My goal as a therapist is to help children and young adults learn skills that will help them to feel happy with themselves, feel trust and happiness in their relationships, and feel confident in their place in the world. I draw from a broad base of child development, clinical training in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral modification, solution-focused therapy, language-based therapy, play-based therapy, social skills training, a coaching model with family, sensory processing, and bibliotherapy. My approach is to meet the child or young adult where they are and to match them with the treatment model that best fits them and their life. I believe that inside every child there are gifts just waiting to be opened, and through working together we can find ways to facilitate positive change to improve their emotional and social functioning, as well as their communicative abilities, so they can live happier and healthier lives.
